Dr. Zhihua Zhang used to be a senior engineer of CIOMP. During working in CIOMP for 30 years, he mainly worked on optical system design and testing. He is specialized in aberration theory. When the optical CAD was not mature in the early years, he could calculate the aberration analysis results of optical systems by hand expertly to optimize and adjust the optical system parameters. He masters in design coaxial reflecting telescopes systems, off-axis three-mirror systems, continuous zoom systems, IR optical systems, microscope systems, projection systems and illumination systems. He also masters optical testing, and have designed many kinds of high precision aspheric compensation system. He tests the surface figure by zygo interferometer, and tests the imaging quality by MTF measuring instrument.
